Public Notice – Urgent Temporary Road Closure Order – Part of Pond Lane, Grateley

URGENT TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Test Valley Borough Council in Test Valley area.

OVERVIEW: Part of Pond Lane, Grateley to allow for emergency repairs to the carriageway.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority), owing to works in connection with emergency repairs to the carriageway, considers that the closure to the road as specified below should come into force without delay:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED : Part of Pond Lane, Grateley, at Home Farm, Grateley

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES :From the northern end of closure, north on Pond Lane, west on Station Road, south on Cholderton/Wallop Road, east on Old Stockbridge Road and north on Pond Lane to the southern point of closure and in the other direction

PERIOD OF CLOSURE : From Monday 17 November 2014 for a period of five days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days from Thursday 20 November 2014)

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
