After the attacks on car tyres last week in Andover, Roman Way was hit last night along with reports of Swallowfields, River Way and Colenzo Drive again.
Charlie Hendry, owner of one of the vehicles attacked, said “We know that this road was hit between 12.15 and 1.30am, by when neighbours affected arrived and left.”
“My biggest worry is that someone will need their car in an emergency. You can’t even ask a neighbour for help as every car along the main length of Florence Court had tyres cut! Also the effect on insurance premiums and crime rates.”
“The locations this has happened is a route from town to the top of Roman Way or perhaps to Augusta Park, and 1 police officer is dealing with them all so is quite stretched!”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Andover police station on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I had a meeting last week with Aster communities regarding the goings on within the estates, unfortunately they did not believe what they were told them.
As far as they are concerned, ” It is down to the community to show interest in their area/s, then we will show interest in them ”
Perhaps if Aster ( being the landlords ) got together with the local police and PCSOs, this type of irresponsible behaviour might be prevented by putting more patrols on the ground.
I am extremely concerned at the rise in crime in Andover over the recent months, in particular, this story has caused me concern to the point I have requested an urgent meeting with the Commissioner Simon Hayes. I will be raising this issue along with a lack of presence of uniformed officers in the town. I am also greatly concerned that Andover Police station has been severely weakened and reduced to an office. If any Andover readers can think of any other issues, please contact me at info@andovermot.com
