After several weeks of waiting it now looks like it is TK Maxx opening at the mystery shop in the Chantry Centre in Andover.
The 4 shops next to the Sky stand were boarded up last month and knocked into one although nobody from the Chantry Centre or Smith Price (the letting agents) could confirm this.
Claire spotted the TK Maxx at the Chantry Centre this morning and Pedro confirmed a friend of his who worked for TK Maxx had said yes, they are opening in Andover.
A further un-named source said they had been told several months ago but wasn’t allowed to say anything.
Martin Morris also spotted the Store Manager job was advertised last week in CV Library.
So now we just need an opening date…

What makes people believe it is a TK Maxx based on the CV Library reference ?
It clearly states “our client is currently undertaking a rapid expansion program, in partnership with a market leading food retail brand, creating store environments that are truly market leading on brand and quality”

Hopefully TK will act as a magnet and draw other new names into the town good luck to them lets hope it is the first of many to see the potential of what Andover has to offer.
Don’t get your hopes up, tkmaxx and boots use the same lorries… and from experience as ex staff the site in question I would have thought would be too small.
Very much fingers crossed still. We’ve also had a fairly reliable source tell us but yes, still fingers crossed.
Although it would be nice to have TK Maxx here, I’m not sure if they are. Smith Price the letting agents are still advertising those units as individual temp units and they are as of today 23 June still available to let and as the previous person commented those units even combined are not large enough for a TK Maxx branch. I’m not being negative just realistic.
this is something andover needs, makes a change from more banks or cafes, all we need now is a primark or something.
