UKIP’s North West Hampshire branch has apparently been rocked by mass resignations over the election of Portsmouth South chairman Paul Lovegrove.
Mr Lovegrove was recently voted to be in charge of the Hampshire election campaign however he has served two prison sentences – one for wounding with intent in 1996 and one for actual bodily harm in 2000 according to the Portsmouth News.
The row has also seen Don Jerrard quit as UKIP candidate in Fareham.
Andover’s UKIP Councillors Hooke and Rolt were unavailable for comment at this time.

It couldn’t happen to nicer people. How this party has any shred of credibility left is beyond me.
