Newlyns Farm Shop at Weyhill have announced they will be closing their doors for the last time at 4.00pm on Saturday 20th June.
The shop was opened as a satellite store 5 years ago and supplied by the main shop at Lodge Farm, North Warnborough, near Hook.
A spokesperson for Newlyns said “Our Weyhill shop has been run by Richard Woods who started working for us at our main shop and then ran the Weyhill shop when we opened 5 years ago. Like any small family run business the team you have behind you is key.”
“Richard has decided to move on from Newlyns and we feel this has a huge impact to the heart of our Weyhill business.”
Newlyns have said would like to continue to offer people the high quality meat and level of service in the area, therefore a delivery service will be running in this area. Find out more on the Newlyns Shop website at www.newlyns-farmshop.co.uk.
That is a shame! The shop will be missed, a delivery service is never the same.
hi I’m Richard woods.I like to comment on that article and say that this is a poor excuse to blame me for the closure of Newlyns Weyhill as there’s lots of great butchers in the area.
I’ve worked for them for ten years and feel let down by there comment as I gave them 100 per cent.
I really feel sorry for Weyhill shop as it was a great place to work.
Richard – where are you off to? You were the only reason I used to come into the shop – lets face it, the prices were horrific. But a friendly face and someone who has time for you is a bonus these days! What is the real reason? Profit margin not high enough? Good luck with whatever you do…I’m sure you’ll be snapped up!
