The Pop-Up Shop at the top of the High Street in Andover will be taken over by a Juice and Smoothie Bar next week as it opens its doors on Monday morning (23rd June).
Whilst the official opening will be by the Mayor at 12.30pm, the shop itself will open at 8.00am serving juices, smoothies and a choice or porridges. The porridge is expected to be from £2 with a choice of toppings available.
In addition to the juices, smoothies and porridge there are also two Power Plate machines that visitors will be able to try and cost £5 for a 10 minute session. Inductions for using these need to be completed before they can be used and will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The idea is from Dorthe Thomas who also owns Dorthe Thomas Spa in Bridge Street.
“I wanted to see if people in Andover would like something a bit more healthy in the town” she said. “The Pop-Up Shop gives me a way of testing the market and people a way of testing the shop“.
“We will be opening around 7.30am – 8.00am although we may start earlier if the demand is there and then close around 5.30pm”
It is planned to stay open for 5 weeks initially. You can also follow the new shop on Facebook at www.facebook.com/smoothersandshakers
You can also help decide what flavours they create at the Juice Bar Survey.

Sounds good to me, one thing I will say is maybe you should proof read your articles before you post them as there are a couple of mistakes! Unless they are “Surviving” smoothies 🙂
Ooops! Thanks Nathan – corrected 🙂
Sounds great…if it is popular after the initial 5 weeks will you be staying permanently
