A new group has been started on Facebook after Andover car drivers started reporting issues after filing up with Tesco Momentum fuel.
The group is called People Affected By Every Little Helps Petrol and was started after a local car owner had an issue with “contaminated fuel”.
If you feel you have an issue, get in touch with the group.

Hi Chris, thankyou on for getting this out there 🙂 perhaps other people who have had problems will come forward. Mel x
It’s Richard but no problem 🙂
I filled up with Diesel on Friday 25th Oct (was virtually empty), and then started to have problems with lack of power briefly on Tuesday morning, and then major problems on Thursday morning. The engine completely died on Thursday. Garage are still investigating, but have said that it is something to do with fuel (either the fuel itself, or part of the fuel system). Have done approx. 100 miles since filling up, so about 1/4 way through the tank. Will know more on Monday when a full diagnostics is done. I went into the Andover Tescos fuel station this morning at about 10am, and they said that they had had no reported fuel problems. I insisted that it was recorded in their book, and strangely enough, the previous entry made in the book earlier today was another fuel problem………
they are telling lies about no previous reports as I ha reported my son’s moped breaking down last Saturday after filling up, we reported to store on Tuesday 30th after we had a definite diagnosis from the repair garage, we even took the fuel from his bike to Tesco and they refused to look at it saying there was nothing wrong with their pumps, I will take this all the way as I am not being lied to and made to feel we are in the wrong!!

I have seen 5 or 6 comments saying the same. Fuel tank knackered and water in the tank. I believe its from the storms and water from the river gets into the tesco tanks. Happened before. Thankfully im diesel. Makes you wonder how much water is in it generally?
Tesco are denying this. Check out my Twitter @unknownsilver!
Thanks for that – have screenprinted their reponse and added to the group.
Tesco in Andover has been charging more for fuel than the other local Tescos too. I have seen the difference in Tesco by Andvers branch being 5p per litre more.. Although it has now come down in price your better off topping up at the Esso on the A303 near Barton Stacey as is the same price and still get clubcard points too. To think they are supposed to be cheaper its scary when service stations on arterial routes is the same price if not cheaper than Tesco Andover. As for profits – every little helps
When Tesco reduced to £138.9 for diesel the Esso increased their price to £139.9
