Today marks the release of ‘Lock It Out’, a 5-track EP from local alternative rock band In Darklight, along with a music video for their lead single, ‘Give Me A Reason’.
Brothers Ben and Louis Sellers, along with Ross Archer, have consistently developed new sounds and horizons, while always holding on to a meticulous technical standard, both in self-production and on-stage. The result is a compelling blend of flawless volatility, with high octane and explosive live performances matched by impeccable recording musicianship.
‘Lock It Out’ is a five track release, and sees the band take a fresh and exhilarating new direction. Ben’s vocals are potent, the lyrics heartfelt, his bass lines bullish and melodic. Ross’ guitar work is inventive and skilled, weaving through and above Louis’ precise, powerful drumming.
This mix unleashes a rousing new sound packed with tenacious hooks, intoxicating choruses and thumping rhythms. Live, the band are vigorous and vibrant, delivering compelling, faultless performances which will hook, challenge and invigorate in turns. It’s a sound that needs to be heard.
