Residents have the chance to win some great prizes if they sign up to Test Valley Borough Council’s Garden Waste Collection Service for 2015/16.
For just £29, residents will benefit from fortnightly garden waste collections for a whole year. Those who subscribe online before 13 April will pay just £25.50, with one lucky subscriber winning £100 to spend at Andover Garden Centre and five runners up each receiving one free garden waste subscription.
This year it is even easier for residents to dispose of their grass cuttings, pruned branches, weeds and leaves as they have the choice of using a wheeled bin or a reusable sack.
Environmental Portfolio Holder, Councillor Graham Stallard, said: “Our Garden Waste Collection Service is consistently popular with residents. Now it’s even easier for the public to dispose of their garden waste as we are offering those who subscribe the opportunity to purchase a wheeled bin or reusable sack. Alternatively, if residents have a spare wheeled bin they wish to use instead, they can let us know and we’ll send them a label to stick on their bin.”
A 240 litre garden waste wheeled bin costs £25 and a 130 litre garden waste sack costs £1.50. Both are one-off charges in addition to your subscription. Further information and a short subscription form is available at www.testvalley.gov.uk/gardenwaste.
