Test Valley Borough Council is currently working round the clock to meet the increased demand for sandbags due to the continuing severe weather.
Residents living in areas of the borough where an Environment Agency Flood Warning has been issued will be delivered sandbags free of charge upon request.
For the latest Flood Warnings visit the Environment Agency website.
Residents not in a Flood Warning area can purchase filled sandbags at a cost of £2.20 each. There is also the option of purchasing empty sandbags to fill with their own sand at £2.80 for 6. Sandbags can be collected free of charge from the Council’s depots at either Portway in Andover or Bourne House in Romsey. Sandbags can also be delivered at a cost of £32.00 in normal office hours or £70.00 outside of these hours. These charges are subject to VAT.
This policy helps to ensure that our stocks of sandbags are provided to those residents most at risk of imminent flooding.
Residents requiring sandbags should call the Council’s customer service team on 01264 368000 or 01794 527700.

I AM RINGING AT 8.45PM 11/2/14, HAVING RECEIVED A E.A.FLOOD WARNING THIS AFTERNOON. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE HELPFUL IF YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBERS WERE MANNED UNTIL LATE EVENING TO COPE WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN OUT( AT WORK, ETC) & THEREFORE UNABLE TO REACT EARLIER. HOPEFULLY, I CAN GET SUFFICIENT SAND BAGS TOMORROW( WED 12/2/14) BEFORE ANY FLOODING OCCURS.
