Cllr Ian Carr has been re-adopted, unopposed, as Conservative Group Leader on Test Valley Borough Council.
Cllr Phil North, Chairman of the Test Valley Borough Council Conservative Group, issued a statement on behalf of the group earlier this evening (Tuesday 2nd December 2014):
I’m pleased to announce that the Conservative Group has re-adopted Cllr Ian Carr as the Conservative Group Leader on Test Valley Borough Council. He was re-adopted unopposed.
Cllr Carr has tremendous experience in leading the Council which continues to deliver efficient and effective services with one of the lowest council tax rates in the country.
Ian Carr will lead the Conservative Team into the Borough Council elections next year on a strong record of delivering for the residents of Test Valley.
In Andover Cllr Carr has overseen the delivery of the Lights Theatre, the cinema and Asda complex, the new skatepark, the increase in grants to our voluntary and community organisations, improvements to our business parks and the Andover Town Centre Summit, which is making a significant contribution to rejuvenating the high street and increasing footfall.
There is still more to do and Ian is committed to continuing to improve our Town and Borough for the benefit of residents.
Is this a joke, or what.
It is Cllr Carr and his behind closed doors cabinet that has brought Andover to it’s knees, are we therefore to expect more demise of the town and the industrial estates, due to this decision.
