The Chantry Centre in Andover has applied for a facelift with a planning application for “works to the entrances, and facade of the library and offices“.
The application – 15/00319/FULLN – is currently “Pending Consideration” but would see the existing doors replaced with slim framed, automatic swing doors, a large, illuminated letter “C” over the main doors by the Guildhall and recessed feature lighting both in the floor and ceiling area.
The most noticeable changes however would appear to be the current concrete look around the library being replaced with curved timber clad panelling together with illuminated changeable banners signs.
The Chantry Centre is owned 60% by AXA and 40% by TVBC.
