Andover’s SP10 postcode has been targeted by the Passport Office for “additional checking” of passport applications according to a report in The Guardian.
The report says that 100 postcodes have been targeted for extra checks and fraud investigation and that “child applications must face extra scrutiny“. Tidworth’s SP9 postcode has also been highlighted.
The Passport Office has come under a lot of criticism recently for delays in the time it takes to process applications and ironically, back in June were reported to have relaxed application checks to help clear the backlog.

Doh!! The area is full of miltary families, now correct me if I am wrong but thse families are often moved around the country by the government. I cannot believe the home office are targetting the area afterall they must know this basic information.
