Police have received numerous reports overnight (Wednesday 24th / Thursday 25th June) regarding the anti-social use of motorcycles around the Andover area.
The reports said the vehicles were being driven on the pavements and the roads putting others at risk. Reports also stated they are been driven without protective helmets, also putting the rider at risk.
Police said it is possible that some of these vehicles do not have the official documentation to allow the vehicle to be legally on road.
Police have a power under Section.59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 where they can give warnings for anti-social use of any vehicle and the power to seize it if the warning is not adhered to.
A Police spokesperson said “If members of public wish to ride such vehicles, there are suitable places and people to speak to, where you can ride without any risk or worry.”

My own personal opinion regarding calling 101 is a complete waste of time, in my view if the neighbourhood wardens and PCSOs ( if they indeed exist ) patrolled certain hotspots on a regular basis, then perhaps they might just catch the culprits red-handed,
