Andover Carnival have announced the winners of the various groups that took part in last week’s event after a procession through Andover Town Centre.
The judges were the Mayor, Jan Lovell, event sponsors Simplyhealth and Wimpy however Wimpy did not judge the Business Floats due to having their own entry in that category.

The Walking Groups:
1st) Enham Trust – Lion King
2nd) Knights Infant School – Brazil
3rd) Brownies – 100th Birthday
Floats – Charity / Community Groups:
1st) Balksbury School – Alice in Wonderland
2nd) Andover Community Theatre – Alice in Wonderland
2nd) Andover Childminders Association – The Polar Express
3rd) Round Table – Knights of the Round Table
Floats – Business
1st) Mitutoyo – Egyptians
3rd) Valley Leisure – Wizard of Oz
Due to an unfortunate error Andover Childminders Association were judged in the Business category. They are not a business and in order to rectify this they were awarded joint 2nd in their correct category.
Why was the Unity Christian Theatre’s float not included in the photos? We believed in the taking part, not necessarily in the winning.
