Work on the Andover Bus Station continues with completion still planned for mid-June 2014, just three months away.

The bus station continues to progress. Much of glazing is now completed, giving the building definition a contemporary shape and feel. The café is looking impressive and with the ply roof completed, works have begun internally to supply power and drainage. A potential tenant has been identified to occupy the café when complete.
In the offices of Stagecoach and Shopmobility the internal spaces are being fitted out. Carpentry works are underway and the second fix of electrical and mechanical infrastructure is in progress.
The works to upgrade the walkway between the Chantry Centre and the multi-storey car park will commence this week; terrazzo flooring tiles will be laid over a concrete base to match the existing shopping centre. The walkway will remain open during throughout the majority of the works, with the contractor taking advantage of one of the agreed closure periods near the end of works.
Completion of the works are still planned for mid-June, with an official opening in July 2014.
When the walkway is closed how will people from the carpark be able to get into the chantry centre safely. As the only way is through the walk way surely were not expected to go out through the carpark exit.
The new bus station is looking fantastic! I know that the project is a little controversial and some feel that the money could have been better spent elsewhere, but nonetheless it will be a great asset for Andover. Nice to have s high class and contemporary building at an important gateway to the town centre!
