Andover Bus Station is expected to be completed by mid-June this year despite the issues with weather that the town has seen the last few months.
Work started in April 2013 and was expected to last 52 weeks however it did not get underway until mid-May 2013 some 6 weeks late and a new date of 2nd May was agreed. This has now been extended to an agreement of mid-June netween the contractor, Osborne’s, and Hampshire County Council.
With regarsd to issues with the ongoing work, the main concerns received have apparently been from bus passengers associated with temporary bus shelters and availability of shopping trolley bays – these have been swiftly acted upon and resolved.
WhEn other towns are closing bus stops and with bus routes being shelved this is a joke and a complete waste of money, this project has a complete lack of imagination, much better ways of sending 3million pounds .
