URGENT TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE ORDER
Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Test Valley Borough Council in Test Valley area.
OVERVIEW: Part of Eastern Avenue, Andover, to allow for works in connection with repairs to retaining wall and railings
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority), owing to works in connection with repairs to retaining wall and railings considers that the closure to the footway as specified below should come into force without delay:-
FOOTWAY TO BE CLOSED: That part on the eastern side of Eastern Avenue, Andover from a point 22m north of London Street for a distance of 80m northwards
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES; From the southern point of the closure west across Eastern Avenue using the controlled crossing, north along the footway to Union Street, east via the subway under Eastern Avenue, south along the eastern footway to the northern point of the closure and vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From Sunday 20th July 2014 for a period of five days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.
