TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER
Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Test Valley Borough Council in Test Valley area.
OVERVIEW: Part of B3420 Winchester Road, Wherwell – to allow Hampshire County Council to undertake trial holes on Wherwell south and Wherwell middle bridges for deck replacement designs.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority) has made an Order to allow Hampshire County Council to undertake trial holes on Wherwell south and Wherwell middle bridges for deck replacement designs, as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED Part of B3420 Winchester Road from a point approximately 400metres south of its junction with Longparish Road to a point 200metres further south thereof.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES From the southern point of closure, south on B3420 Winchester Road to its junction with A30 London Road, South west on A30 London Road to its junction with A3057 Stockbridge Road. North on A3057 Stockbridge Road and Romsey Road to its junction with B3420 Winchester Road. South east on B3420 Winchester Road to the northern point of closure and in the other direction.
PERIOD OF ORDER From Monday 4th August 2014 for a period of 3 months or until completion of works, whichever is sooner.
DURATION OF WORKS It is expected the road will be closed between 09:30 and 16:00 from Monday 4th August to Wednesday 6th August.
Pedestrian and reasonable access to adjoining properties will be available.
