TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Test Valley Borough Council in Test Valley area.

OVERVIEW: Various Roads in Penton Mewsey, to allow for sewer works in carriageway

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority) proposes to make an Order to allow for works in connection with sewer works in carriageway, as follows:-

ROADS TO BE CLOSED

Penton Lane, Penton Mewsey, from Chalkcroft Lane to Farm Lane from 15 to 26 September 2014. Alternative route: from the northern end of the closure north on Penton Lane, west on Back Lane at Clanville, south on Penton Park Lane/Weyhill Bottom, east on C33 and north on Chalkcroft Lane to the southern end of the closure.

Deacon Road, Kimpton from Down Road to High View from 22 September to 3 October 2014. Alternative route: from the northern end of the closure north on Deacon Road, west on Tidworth Road/Station Road at Tidworth, south on A338 Park Road/Salisbury Road, east on Snoddington Lane/Road and north on Thruxton Road at Kimpton to the southern end of the closure.

Chalkcroft Lane, Penton Mewsey from Foxcotte Lane to Newbury Hill from 29 September to 1 October 2014. Alternative route: from the northern end of the closure north on Chalkcroft Lane, east on Newbury Hill, south on Andover Road, further south and east on Foxcotte Lane and north on Chalkcroft lane to the southern end of the closure.  The prohibition of driving vehicles greater than 6’6” wide along Newbury Hill is temporally suspended when the diversion is in operation.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES As described above

PERIOD OF ORDER From Monday 15 September 2014 for a period of 3 months or until completion of works, whichever is sooner

DURATION OF WORKS As described above

Reasonable access to adjoining properties will be available while the works are carried out.
