Andover based Veterans In Action (VIA) – the local charity that helps veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – are currently undertaking a 4,000 mile Walk 4 PTSD around the coastline of Britain.
The walk set off from Andover High Street on the 4th of May and the Team of walkers have now reached Middlesbrough.
There were originally 10 walkers however some dropped out just before the team set off and two others have succumbed to minor injuries and had to leave the team.
A spokesperson for the VIA said “The Team are in good spirits and hope others will join them on the way to help cover some of the mileage.”
The route of Walk 4 PTSD is to walk around the coastline of Britain in an anti-clockwise direction using National Trails and tracks where possible taking in the fantastic countryside that Britain has to offer.
Time has been set aside where the VIA Team will fundraise in towns and cities on our route.
The walk is due to finish on the 31st of August again at Andover High Street and the Team are looking for local people to join the team on the last 6 miles from the Mayfly Pub at Chilbolton back into Andover.
