The Twice as Nice store on Walworth Enterprise Centre is to close at the end of this week – the final day being Friday 13th November 2015.
In a statement on the Aster website, the group said the decision was due to them concentrating on their core business of “developing homes and providing good housing, repairs, care and support services to our customers.”
The original statement from Aster said the end of the month however the store have confirmed the last day of opening is this Friday.
Aster Statement:
Our Twice as Nice (TAN) stores in Shepton Mallet and Andover will close by the end of November. Our Weymouth TAN store will be taken over by Groundworks South at the same time.
This is not a decision that has been taken lightly. In April, Aster Group launched a new strategy – it’s our vision that ‘everyone has a home’ and we’ve made a significant commitment to build as many new homes as possible. To do this, we must concentrate on our core business – developing homes and providing good housing, repairs, care and support services to our customers.
If our customers require the support of a furniture re-use scheme in the future, we will be able to sign-post them to specialist providers who will be able to offer this service.
We’d like to thank everyone, both customers and volunteers, who has supported the TAN stores over the years.
