A group of passionate Archers from Enham Trust took part in their first ever competition on Sunday 15th February.
The group – who practice every Wednesday in our Oasis Building – took part in the Deer Park Archers 2nd Para Archery FITA 18 in Cheltenham and competed against 49 other Archers of varied levels of ability and experience.
Archery Tournament
The all-day ‘inclusion tournament’ our team took part in is currently in its second year and will see hundreds of Archers compete, including those who competed in the Invictus Games last year.
Archers taking part in the competition had to shoot a time round firing 3 arrows in just 2 minutes. Enham Trust’s team shot at a target 10 meters away, which is a specially modified distance.
Robert, has been practicing Archery for over a year, said before the tournament: “I’m looking forward to it! I really hope I get a medal.”
The Competition Results
Robert was awarded a gold medal at the competition whilst the whole team was awarded a bronze medal and Patrick came in second place earning a silver medal – Go Team Enham!
The whole team from Enham Trust enjoyed the event and are hoping to compete again next year.
