The Station Inn (formerly the Station Hotel) in Bridge Street has received both the 4 Star Award and Silver Award from Visit England for the 6th consecutive year.
Visit England’s Silver awards are given in recognition of exceptional quality within a property’s star rating, or for outperforming a star rating. A hotel inspector visits the premises undercover and then reports back on their findings. This is so that the venue cannot prepare in advance so need to be providing the service at all times.
Landlady Romana Gillies said “This is amazing! Alex and I would like to say thank you to all our for staff for their hard work and help“.
The seven room 18th Century Coaching Inn has also recently been undergoing refurbishment both inside and out with a change of name from the Station Hotel to the Station Inn.
The bar area is also a popular destination with a large beer garden, an excellent reputation for food, live music every Saturday night and its annual Pigfest Music Festival.
