With speculation over whether London Mayor Boris Johnson will be in the running, North West Hampshire Conservatives have announced that the successor to Sir George Young will be selected in July.
Association Chairman Rod Bowker said “The Conservative Party is fortunate in having very many excellent quality candidates looking for parliamentary seats. Sir George has been a superb MP serving his constituency and the country. We can be confident that his successor, who is due to be selected in July, will serve both our local community and the country with equal distinction.”
He added “Following selection the candidate will be introduced throughout the constituency and to the press.”
