The search is on for the local stars in the Andover community who make a big impact on people’s lives and help change them for the better.
The Pride of Andover Awards celebrates the most generous and inspiring people from the town and nearby villages.
Nominations are now open for the all the award categories, including the prestigious Spirit of Andover and Heart of Gold awards.
Other awards will be given to the fundraiser, young person, good neighbour, inspiring person, environmental champion and carer of the year.
There will be a special Health Award for a nurse, health visitor, paramedic or anyone who has made a big difference to someone’s health and well-being.
The awards team are delighted to welcome back David Mellor & Sons Jewellers as our main sponsor and sponsor of ‘The Spirit of Andover Award’. “We are delighted and proud to once again be associated with this fine event, and all it stands for” said Christine Mellor.
Simplyhealth are also welcomed as a silver sponsor of the event again this year, sponsoring ‘the Health Award’ category.

Nominations can be made until 31 July.
A short-list will be announced in August and a night of celebration for all the finalists and their supporters will be held at The Lights on 28 October.
The special night will be compered by Steve Randall and hosted by television celebrity Esther Rantzen, who has taken the awards to her heart, praising the extraordinary spirit and generosity of people from the Andover area.
Nominees could come from any walk of life and can be volunteers or people who are paid. But what they will all have in common is that they stand out from crowd and go out of their way to help people or are inspiring to others.
