Work is now completed on the new Dash and Go spaces in Bridge Street, giving shoppers up to 15 minutes free to collect goods from the nearby shops.
The Dash and Go parking was one of the outcomes of the Town Summit initiative by Test Valley Borough Council.
In addition to the two spaces on the Post Office side of the street, a new loading bay area has been added to the Sainsbury side.
There are several small businesses that will benefit from this including La di da, Oaktree Business Management, Dorthe Thomas Spa and Mimmo’s Hair as well as the charity shop, Charcoal Grill and the newly opened Frango Grill.
Waiting time is limited to 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday between 8.00am and 6.00pm.
