Detectives investigating a sexual assault on a woman in Andover on May 3rd are appealing for a cyclist to contact them.
It is thought that the cyclist may have scared the offender away.
At around 10.40pm the 27-year-old victim was walking along an alleyway in Cricketers Way when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man. She managed to fight off the offender and he ran into the bushes. The victim then called her friends who came to her assistance. The assault left her with injuries to her hands and head.
The offender was described as white with dark hair and blue eyes. He was wearing jeans and white trainers.
Officers are also looking to speak with a couple that came to the victim’s aid before her friends arrived.
Since the incident was reported, extensive enquiries have been carried out, including house to house enquiries and reviewing CCTV in the area.
