Andover Musical Theatre Company are celebrating their 50th Anniversary with a special production of The Pirates of Penzance.
If you’re looking for a great night at the theatre then you will enjoy this modern musical version of the Gilbert and Sullivan classic. It’s a fun-filled show featuring fair maidens, fearsome pirates and plenty of singing and dancing.
Andover Musical Theatre Company, a registered charity, have been entertaining theatre-goers in Andover for 50 years with musical productions which are known for their professional quality; their set and costuming are impressive, and the singing and acting worthy of London’s West End.
Needless to say that over the last five years they have received no less than ten nominations for individual performance and musical direction by the Southern Daily Echo Curtain Awards. In 2012 the whole company was nominated in the ‘Best Musical’ category for their intensely dramatic production of Jekyll & Hyde, which featured a number of special effects including simulated gun-shot on stage!
The Pirates of Penzance promises to be a barrel of laughs from beginning to end, perfect for the whole family.
