Community groups have less than one week left to submit a bid for a share of £17,500, as part of Hampshire County Council’s Have Your Say scheme.
Test Valley Partnership, which is the organisation responsible for allocating the money locally, is encouraging community groups to submit bids for grants of up to £2,000. Money will be awarded to projects developed by the local community for the local community.
Once applications close on Monday 23 February, the bids will be put to a public vote to enable local people to choose the projects they want to see funding awarded to. The money will be shared equally between projects in the north of the borough and projects in the south.
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council and chairman of Test Valley Partnership, Councillor Ian Carr, said: “It would be such a shame for local community groups to miss out on this opportunity to submit a bid for funding. The application form is short and simple to complete and could help secure a grant of up to £2,000. So please don’t delay and submit your application as soon as possible.”
