Three appliances and an officer were sent to a kitchen fire at Sandringham Court on Kingsway Gardens on Tuesday 27th May where it was thought that the occupant could still be inside the property.
The call was received around 2.30pm and on arrival crews removed cooking utensils from the kitchen and assisted the elderly gentleman from the flat who was suffering from smoke inhalation.
