International Furniture in Black Swan Yard have switched on their window display for the second year running – and it’s even bigger and better than last year.
At 5.45pm last night (Monday 1st December) a crowd of people were treated to the switching on of their Christmas Lights which will now stay lit until 6th January.
Kevin Farrer, owner of International Furniture who moved into the old Habels building in August 2013, said he’d spent the last year planning this window.
“I love doing it” he said. “It’s brilliant just to see the looks on the kids faces when they see the it.”
“We’ve also done this year’s window for Ellie Davidson with donations being collected for Ellie vs. Leukaemia” he added.
The quality of the work involved can be seen in the build. The sledge was hand-built by Jeff Pidgeley from Wonston Fabrication Services who has also done work for Top Gear and Boomtown whilst the upholstery was completed by hand by Kevin.
