Information about a range of government schemes and advice for businesses and residents affected by flooding is now available on the Test Valley Borough Council website.
Schemes include business rate flooding relief, business support, a repair and renewal grant for businesses and support for farmers, as well as council tax flood discount and a repair and renewal grant for residents.
Details of each of the grants can be found at www.testvalley.gov.uk/floodhelp. There are separate sections for businesses and residents and the site will be updated as further information about the schemes is released.
Councillor Ian Carr, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “Towns and villages across Test Valley remain affected by flooding, with groundwater proving particularly troublesome. Indeed, in some areas we have still been providing sandbags. We will continue to provide all the support we can to protect residents and businesses and there is still a great deal of work to be done.
“We expect the government to release further information about its flood support schemes over the coming weeks and we will update our website as soon as we receive any additional detail.”
