The Environment Agency have issued flood alerts for villages around Andover both St Mary Bourne and Weyhill sides of the town and are as per last week.
There are currently two warnings in place covering this area:
- Groundwater flooding in Surrounding Villages of Andover (North West)
- Groundwater flooding in Vernham Deane, Upton and the Bourne Valley
Information for both alerts is as follows:
Groundwater Flooding in Surrounding Villages of Andover
Communities at risk of groundwater flooding to the North West of Andover, including Appleshaw, Hatherden, Penton Mewsey, Redenham, Weyhill Bottom, Kimpton, Amport and Monxton.

The groundwater levels around Andover continue to rise. Cellar flooding is expected in properties in Appleshaw, Kimpton and Hatherden. Any valuables stored in cellars should therefore be moved in advance.
We expect groundwater levels to continue to rise as the weather remains unsettled. High groundwater levels are beginning to affect some sewerage systems and may also lead to road flooding.

Communities at risk of groundwater flooding in Vernham Deane, Upton and the Bourne Valley in North Hampshire including Hurstbourne Tarrant and St Mary Bourne.

The groundwater levels in the Bourne Valley have continued to rise in the last week. Cellar flooding is still possible in Upton. Any valuables stored in cellars should therefore be moved in advance. High groundwater levels and forecast rainfall may also lead to road flooding and begin to affect sewerage systems.
