The Environment Agency have issued a flood alert update for villages North West of Andover at 4.16pm on Wednesday 5th March.
Information for the alert is as follows:
Groundwater Flooding in Surrounding Villages of Andover
Communities at risk of groundwater flooding surrounding Andover, including Appleshaw, Hatherden, Penton Mewsey, Redenham, Weyhill Bottom, Kimtpon, Amport and Monxton.
Groundwater levels around Andover are very high, but have started to stabilise over the last week.
The weather forecast this week is for dry conditions and levels will remain fairly stable as a result. Problems associated with high groundwater levels will persist for many weeks.
