Seventeen fire-fighters attended a fire in a block of flats in Western Road in Andover last night (Sunday 27th April) just after 10.00pm.
Crews were quickly alerted to a male who was still in the flat involved and within minutes the crews were able to rescue the male from the flat and he was taken to hospital by the ambulance.
The crews then tackled the fire, which was situated in the living room, with breathing apparatus, hose reels and jets. The fire investigation team will be looking into this incident in the morning.
