Test Valley Partnership has extended the deadline to submit bids for a share of £17,000, as part of Hampshire County Council’s Have Your Say scheme.
Local community groups now have until Sunday 13 July to put in a bid for a grant of up to £2,000. Money will be awarded to projects developed by the local community, for the local community.
Once applications have closed, the bids will be put to a public vote to enable local people to choose the projects they want to see funding awarded to. The money will be shared equally between projects in the north of the borough and projects in the south.
Councillor Ian Carr, leader of Test Valley Borough Council and chairman of Test Valley Partnership, said: “This is such a great opportunity to secure funding for a community project. The application form is straight forward and should only take a few minutes to complete. I would urge people not to miss the chance to bid for this cash.”
