On the week commencing 10th February 2014, those affected properties will receive a letter detailing when their new waste and recycling collection day will be. Unaffected properties will not receive a letter.
For details about where these affected properties are, you can see an overview online at www.testvalley.gov.uk/bincollectionchanges
On the week commencing 24th February 2014, the new collection rounds will commence. This week the brown recycling bin will be emptied. Householders will be reminded to leave their bin at the edge of their property by 7am on their collection day. All of our rounds have changed, so even if a householder’s bin day hasn’t changed, they may find the waste collection team visits their property at a different time of day than they are used to.
On the week commencing 3rd March 2014, the new collection rounds continue. This week, the black household waste bin will be emptied, again at any time from 7am.
More information:
- Householders will be able to view their new collection day using the bin look-up tool on the home page of the Council website from Saturday 22 February. Before this date the look-up tool will only show their current collection day.
- If a household is certain their bin has been missed, we advise they call the customer services team on 01264 368000 or 01794 527700.
- These changes do not affect the Garden Waste Collection Service.
Many thanks to Cllr Karen Hamilton for the update
