Bluebird Care, one of the UK’s leading high quality home care providers, was officially opened by the Mayor of the Test Valley at a launch party at their new office on London Street, Andover on Wednesday 22nd April 2015.
The home care company has expanded its multi-award winning operation from Winchester, Eastleigh, Alton and Alresford into the Test Valley area and now offer their full range of home care services to people in Andover, Stockbridge, Romsey and all surrounding villages.
Owners Norman and Claire Murphy together with their Care Manager, Jade Crouter and the whole Bluebird Care (Andover & Stockbridge) professional team deliver bespoke care packages, providing a high quality service that enables their customers to remain living in the homes they love surrounded by their family, friends and possessions.

Norman said: “It was lovely to have so many friendly faces here today to join us in celebrating our opening here in Andover. We are thrilled to bring our award winning home care services to all of the Test Valley and look forward to providing the highest standards of care for all our customers.”
Special guest of honour for the opening was Test Valley Borough’s ‘First Citizen’, Councillor Jan Lovell, The Mayor of Test Valley.
Before the official ribbon cutting ceremony the Mayor made a speech welcoming Bluebird Care’s high quality home care services to the Test Valley area. The event was well attended with over 30 guests.
Many local charities and organisations were also keen to show their support for Bluebird Care with representatives attending from The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in Hampshire, Andover Mind, Carers Together, Age UK, Dementia Friendly Andover (ANDAG), Andover Women in Business (AWIB) plus many local business owners.
The Worshipful the Mayor, Councillor Jan Lovell said: “I am delighted to officially open Bluebird Care’s new office in Andover and wish them the best of luck for the future in providing the very important service that is home care within our community.”
Bluebird Care offers tailor made home care visits and 24 hour live-in care to young adults over the age of 16 with physical & learning disabilities right through to older and vulnerable people throughout the Test Valley.
The couple opened their first Bluebird Care office in Winchester in March 2012 with their second office in Alton in September 2013 and on a mission to radically shake up the home care industry and offer only the finest high quality home care to its customers as well as the best in customer service.
Their efforts were highly recognised and after only a year in operation they won the prestigious 2013 Winchester Business Excellence Award for ‘Small Business of the Year’, along with three other Bluebird Care national network awards including ‘Newcomer of the Year 2012’, ‘Business of the Year for the South West’ 2013, ‘Brand Champion of the Year’ 2014 together with ‘Best Care Coordinator of the Year’ at the Great British Care Awards 2014.
