Email users are being advised to be aware of an email circulating computers in Andover that is compromising their email accounts.
The email has a subject of “Important document” and contains a link to a genuine looking website. The user’s email account is then compromised and further emails sent out to friends in their address book.
One affected user said “My email account was blocked after over 200 emails went out from my email account to friends and business colleagues. It’s a nightmare”.
Email Content
The email is very generic and as yet, is not known to contact the name of the person sending or the recipient of the email.
