An attempt was made to break into the premises of Andover Auctions at the OYO Business Park in Weyhill between 10.00pm last night (Friday 2nd May) and 8.00am this morning.
Whilst the intruders did not manage to gain entry, damage was done to the door that resulted in an undisclosed amount of repairs and left staff struggling to enter the premises.
“We are a family based business and are deeply saddened by this as we run a local auction every week ” said a company spokesperson.
The OYO units run alongside the A342 between the Weyhill Fair and the roundabout, opposite the Weyhill Police Station.
A reward of £500 has been offered for information that leads to an arrest. Please call 01264 773959 if you saw or heard anything in the area.
