Officers have charged a 41 year-old man from the Andover area following a number of incidents in the north of Hampshire yesterday.
41-year-old Daniel Smith, of no fixed address, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, failure to provide a specimen for analysis, robbery, making off without payment, and criminal damage.
He had been remanded into custody to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (Friday, January 29).
Police were called at 8.35am on Thursday, January 28 to a report of the theft of a red Ford Transit van on St Joseph’s Road, Aldershot.
The van was then reported to have been involved in a fail to stop collision on the A325 between Aldershot and Farnborough before a robbery at the Esso garage on Bridge Road in Cove was then reported at 8:53am.
