A new website has been launched with details of 20 churches in Andover as part of Andover Churches Together.
Alan Evans OBE, secretary of Andover Churches Together, said “Andover Churches Together (ACT) unites in calling those Churches in the Andover area which, acknowledging God’s revelation in Christ, confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures and, in obedience to God’s will and in the power of the Holy Spirit, commit themselves to:”
- seek a deepening of their communion with Christ and with one another in the Universal Church, which is His body
- fulfill their mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service in the world
- the Glory of the One God : Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
“The churches work together to show God’s love to Andover and an event can be described as an ACT event if 3 churches from different denominations are involved.”
“The new web site is an extension of this to relate to people in a way they can access readily in today’s world of social media and electronic communication. The individual churches already have their own web sites, but it was felt having an ACT site would show they are working together and provide a central point for events and contact details.”
