The A303 is closed westbound between the A3057 (Stockbridge exit) and the A343 (Salisbury exit) near Andover due to a serious incident.
Road users are being directed off the road to use local roads around the closure. As a result road users in the area should allow additional travelling time and consider alternative routes if at all possible.
Hampshire Police said: “We were called out at 8.10am and we understand at this time that the collision involves six vehicles and that one person is trapped.”
“It’s probably best to avoid the area where possible for the time being. We’ll provide further updates as the information comes in.”

The A303 westbound is now open again however one lane remains closed and delays still in the area.
