I have now heard from 2 councillors that the intention is to focus the majority of change at the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015. The intention is to create a ‘feel good’ factor in time for the TVBC council elections thus maximising the current councilors chance of re-election. This is cynical to say the least. The town needs investment, and it needs it now. After 8 months of meetings, the outcomes are ridiculously poor. Yesterday I called for the resignation of the leader of TVBC due to the lack of progress the town is making. To date there has been no reply from him. I myself wil not be playing any further part in this ridiculous charade. Instead I will be focusing my efforts on the creation of a new and vibrant council which will give the town the vision and direction it most desperately needs. I was bitterly disappointed to learn that the Cabinet meeting scheduled for 17 July has been cancelled due to lack of interest. It is time for change. It is time for Councillor Carr to step aside.
