Tony, I was under the impression that Hampshire Constabulary were in independent organisation from any Local Authority and one that controls their own budget, and was not the responsibility of Andover Town Council, but then I may be mistaken. The sick and the elderly are going without visits because of cuts at your Authority, Hampshire County Council, not Andover Town Council. Schools are massively underfunded because of your Authority, Hampshire County Council, not Andover Town Council. Front-line services, such as youth work and care work, is being cut because of your Authority, Hampshire County Council, not Andover Town Council. If we were indeed in charge of these things, I would take your point, however, we are not. So instead of bemoaning what other Authorities are doing, how about you work your diplomacy into convincing the Leader of HCC to use some of the £500m in reserves that are held by the HCC to counteract some of the things you seem to care so deeply about.
