The milestone 10th anniversary celebrations of the Test Valley Business Awards happened at The Lights last night (Thursday 16th May) with guest speaker Professor Khalid Aziz.
Businesses from across the Test Valley were selected for the six categories with three finalists in each, resulting in a winner and two highly commended.
TVBA Press Release
“Winning ‘Employer of the Year’ is fantastic recognition for the values we have fostered over many years. People are at their most productive when they feel valued. By demonstrating we care for the well being of our talented individuals, it is unsurprising to find that, in return, they are positive about the company’s success and want to play a strong part in shaping its future.” – Dr. Simon Kampa, Managing Director of Critical Software.
The milestone 10th anniversary celebrations of the Test Valley Business Awards promised to be an unforgettable and magical evening, full to the brim with exciting entertainment, thoughtful prizes and a lot if laughs, to boot!
Professor Khalid Aziz, our passionate and ever professional guest speaker amused and engaged the audience intently – with a thought-provoking speech about the understanding of a community of businesses celebrating success and mutual support, which the Award s have fostered over the last decade:
“At a time when most other businesses, other communities, may have given up – after years battling with the worst recession we have ever known… the Test Valley business community has emerged stronger than ever before“.
Wise words from Professor Khalid Aziz, capturing the strength of our wonderful Borough and the businesses that make it so!
We were very pleased to play host to some inspiring representatives from our chosen charity, Enham Trust, who welcomed the new Mayor, Janet Lovell, with a touching moment as Enham Trust resident Louise Chesson presented a beautiful bunch of flowers to the Mayor. Our guests generously gave to the charity and we were able to raise more than £800 on the night!
The evening was well-orchestrated by Master of Ceremonies, Steve Randall, and ended with our guests winning wonderful prize draws sponsored by local businesses.
We’d like to extend our thanks to all Sponsors, Professor Khalid Aziz, Steve Randall, the entrants, The Lights and all who have made TVBAwards 2014 the most incredible yet.
