Planning applications are currently being considered for both North and South sites of the former Weyhill Services on the A303 just outside Andover for filling stations and convenience stores.
The former filling stations have been empty since they were closed in October 2005 following closure by Texaco after they were assessed that due to substantial investment needed to bring them up to modern standards they were no longer viable as ongoing businesses.
The proposals for both sides are:
Demolition of former roadside services and construction of petrol filling station, amenity building with convenience store and two A1 units and two ATMs, Starbucks drive thru’ coffee shop and associated ancillary works.
This could see Euro Garages Limited expanding their current 126 petrol forecourts into the South with the majority of their current sites in the North West of England. The one at Weyhill Services would be their furthest South site.
