These properties, although are welcome in providing affordable housing, but…..
such a dreadful design is not welcome. Why are the majority of this type of house so lacking in eye appeal and resemble modern slums? I think they are hideous and although it is not a good idea to build a pastiche of surrounding house styles, there has been no attempt to respect the surrounding built environment.
Design is like art…..subjective, but, architects could do well to abandon CAD and produce designs that are more aesthtically pleasing.

I came across these whilst walking my dog .These are horrid to look at and placed next to a reasonable looking close of houses. They didn’t look like houses to me ,very strange design .The next day I had take my husband to look at them ,he agreed they were awful looking.

I actually live in one of these houses, and they are brilliant! So nice to see something a little out of the ordinary being developed. We could all live in a cube with a pointy roof, but personally, I like the fact that our street is different to the rest of the town.

I would like to know what constitutes them resembling modern slums though if I’m honest? The properties aren’t run down, there isn’t graffiti everywhere, and there aren’t drug dealers stood on street corners…
