Test Valley Partnership is appealing for community groups to submit bids for a share of £17,000, as part of Hampshire County Council’s Have Your Say scheme.
Local groups have between Friday 16 May and Friday 27 June, to bid for a grant of up to £2,000. Money will be awarded to projects developed by the local community for the local community.
Once applications have closed, the bids will be put to a public vote to enable local people to choose the projects they want to see funding awarded to. The money will be shared equally between projects in the north of the borough and projects in the south.
Councillor Ian Carr, Leader of Test Valley Borough Council and Chairman of Test Valley Partnership, said: “This is a great opportunity for local groups to submit a bid for funding to help get community projects off the ground. If your project requires a financial boost then this is a chance not to be missed.
“It is also a fantastic opportunity for residents to take the lead in deciding what is of greatest importance to them, which is something the Council is keen to encourage.”
